Banchmark

Banchmark is used in computing and all the major operations concerning to the computer world. In other words it is the act of running a computer program, set of programs and other operations. It is also used to access the performance of an object. Sometimes in computing the Banchmark is used for benchmarking the program them selves. It is with the help of computing technique that it is possible for the computer architecture to access both the hard ware and the soft ware in case of emergency. Previously, the computing used the SPEC but that proved to be very lengthy and took a lot of time. Hence it was replaced after 2000. With the help of it one can even compare the performance of many subsystems. It is said that it is very important in central processing unit (CPU) design. When ever a new computer is installed then there are various chips and networks that go in to the making of the computer. Sometimes there are problems regarding the different chips. This problem can be access with the help of this technique. Whenever a computer is designed, then the computer architect finds it very difficult to compare the different sub systems. Therefore the tests were developed and now comparison has been made much easier with the invention of Banchmark. It is a well-known fact that this technique is not easy and involves many interactive rounds but in today's world not is possible without them in the field of computing. There are synthetic Banchmark and there are application Banchmark. Both are used in their own ways. The former one is used to test the individual device like the hard disk or the networking sites while the other one is used to run the real world program on the system. The application one is far better than the synthetic one as it is more genuine. Besides these two there are other types of Banchmark and that are as follows.
They are real and it includes the word processor software and the user application software, micro Banchmark that includes very small and specific piece of code. Other is kernel that has the key codes and the liver more programs. Last is the component that measures the computers basic components. Different computing techniques can be used for accessing and comparing. The computer architecture is so complex that it is very tough to compare the performance of the various computer systems but with the help of Banchmark, everything has been made possible. |
