This true story is reference Worthing as it's a bit unusual, cute and original. I have a friend of mine, who is a very educated woman, and speaks many languages very well while being a translator. That friend then had always had passion for research and original knowledge and experience in many fields. Well Trados as we know is a TM system, required in many cases, and used today by many translators. There are many sorts of Trados, every year changing and improving, and there are seminars taking place for Trados education and practice..

So, she was accepted by an Agent in India actually to do a translation from German to English, of a technical text in Trados. She had known a bit how it works, but never used herself. So, she ‘'lied'' to the agent, pretending that she would use Trados, while not, believing that she could manage the translation, and send the TM file on her own, she didn't even know who she had done this, but she loves translation so much that she didn't resist the proposal, just for not using Trados System. Processor Benchmark. So, somehow, being generally too experienced in translation and research, she did the translation, sent it by email, but when she was asked to send the TM file, she got stuck. Then in order to avoid any trouble, she started finding pretexts for not sending the right file, and she finally sent a file, that the people there could not even open.

When she understood at least, why they could not open the file, she sent instructions, after exchanging a few emails, before, to explain, how exactly she had done it on her own, in this case, adapting herself; to a ‘non existing'' actually Trados system. Finally after a fervent day, the boss told her by email, that he had managed to open the file according to the instructions given to him by her..Then something happened: The whole thing turned to her sake, and she saw online by an internet research, and finally an email received by the boss, that by the way, she had created with this process, a Trados system on her own: A new one, and completely real Trados new system translation, actually a THESIS on Trados, without realizing it herself..

And then, this was considered an original work, and everybody, all over translating Companies of the area and field that had known about it were talking, that her work, was a ‘'stone'' to existing Trados. And instead of being shouted by the boss, for the ‘'lie'' she had told, the Agent adopted themselves that new method, and they finally became friends, and are still in contact even until this month, while that had happened on 1^st March 3010..Courage is amazing and can do miracles sometimes. Actually the girl was not malicious at all; she just adores her job, and did not want to lack the opportunity. Her real initial intention was verified by the result of that Processor Benchmark.
